Specialist Mental Health ServiceThe CDHB established that the buildings at The Princess Margaret Hospital occupied by the SMHS are no longer fit for purpose for hospital inpatient use. The current SMHS at TPMH (approximately 50 beds) provide inpatient services for Mothers and Babies, Child, Adolescent and Family, Eating Disorders, and the Seager Clinic (long term rehabilitation) as well as associated outpatient services and this Project centres around its relocation to Hillmorton Hospital.
Proj-X Solutions has been involved in the project from Business Case stages, right through to the design and construction. The facility will be one of the first Green Star accredited hospitals in New Zealand Overview of project scope: A new Importance Level 3 Integrated Family Services Centre GFA of approx. 6,000 sq.m, non-forensic in and outpatient facility comprising:
Site service infrastructure upgrades to in-ground services, new GSHP bores, storm water retention basins and transportation services. A new Importance Level 3 Energy Centre Building containing Ground Source Heat Pump plantroom, Fire Pump plantroom, Standby Electrical Generator plantroom, LV switch room, HV / TX plantroom, and Communications plantroom. GFA approx. 400sq.m. Overall project budget (including construction, escalation, contingency, FF&E, all fees and consents) - $82m. |
